There is a free plan ($0, up to 50 recipes and 3 household members, MCP server included). Premium is $2.99/month or $29.99/year for unlimited recipes, AI import, photo-to-recipe extraction, custom and printable cookbooks, household voting, analytics and priority support, for up to 10 household members. Every new account starts with a 7-day Premium trial, no credit card required.

Yes. The free plan includes up to 50 recipes, weekly meal planning with our calendar, grocery lists generated from your meal plans, recipe imports from links, text, and files, recipe enhancement, recipe image generation, the MCP server for connecting your own AI agent, and web and mobile access with sync. You can use it for as long as you like, with no time limit and no credit card.

Premium is $2.99 per month and removes the limits: unlimited recipes, recipe import from any recipe site link, and custom cookbooks. It also adds room for up to 10 household members, recipe extraction from photos of handwritten cards and cookbook pages, household voting, printable cookbooks, analytics and insights, and priority support. If you prefer to pay yearly, Premium is $29.99 a year, which works out to nearly two months free.

When you sign up, you get full access to every Premium feature for 7 days with no credit card required. This includes unlimited recipes, recipe import from recipe site links, custom cookbooks, household voting, and printable cookbooks, plus 10 AI recipe imports and 5 photo recipe extractions to try them. Premium makes AI imports and photo extraction unlimited. If you decide not to continue, your account goes back to the free plan and you are not charged.

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your account settings. When you upgrade, you get immediate access to new features. When you downgrade, you keep your current plan benefits until the end of your billing period. All plan changes are prorated fairly. If you need a refund, contact us and we'll review your request.

Nothing changes. We have simplified to two plans — Free and Premium — but existing Household subscribers keep their current plan, their current price, and every feature they have today. Premium already includes everything the Household plan offered, so there is nothing you need to do. If you would rather move to Premium pricing, contact support and we will switch you over.

The Meal Plan Vault is built for households. The account owner’s subscription tier extends to all household members — so if you’re on Premium, everyone in your household gets full access. Members can have different roles: admins manage the household, editors can add recipes and edit meal plans, and viewers can see everything but not make changes. You can invite members via email from the Family settings page.

We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record, so your card details never touch our servers. We also support annual billing, which saves you about 16% compared to monthly payments. You can manage your payment method and view invoices from your account settings at any time.
